Welcome to The West Muskoka Trail Riders!

West Muskoka Trail Riders was formed in 1978 with about 12 riders and 30 miles of trail. The West Muskoka Trail Riders currently maintain approimately 150 kms of some of the most picturesque trails in the area. The club joined the OFSC in 1986 and today the membership has grown to over 300. The Trail System encompasses the villages of Minett, Rosseau and Humphrey. TOP trail C-102 connects club trails from Rosseau to the Seguin Trail at Seguin Falls. This trail is also referred to the Nippissing Trail - which follows the route of the original settlers' road that was surveyed in 1964. The Club's day-to-day operations are run by about 12 volunteer directors.
West Muskoka Trail Riders permits are available at Minnett General Store, Sandy Plains Variety, Rosseau General Store and Rosseau Bakeshop. The classic permits are also available at Rosseau Bakeshop.

Volunteers Wanted!!!

The West Muskoka Trail Riders are looking for volunteers to help get the trails ready for riding. With the cold temperatures that have set in- the ground is starting to freeze up and work parties are being developed to clear brush from trails and update signage. The club welcomes any assistance- even if it is just for a few hours.
Students are encouraged to participate in order to acquire volunteer hours for school credit.
Please contact us if you are interested in joining us this season!
